An ICFAI University professor here allegedly killed his two sons and ended his life jumping before a train.
According to Malkajgiri police, Prof Raghvendra Guru Prasad (43) was separated from his wife, Suhasini, a few months back and was given conditional right to visit their two sons Virinchi (10) and Vihari (5).
As per the court order, the professor picked his two sons from his in-laws’ residence at Malkajgiri on Saturday. On the same day, police found Guru Prasad’s mangled body on the railway tracks near James Street in Secunderabad. A suicide note was also recovered from his residence in Alwal.
A worried Suhasini lodged a complaint with the police about her missing sons. They tracked Guru Prasad’s movements with the help of the CCTV footage at the Secunderabad railway station and his mobile phone records, which revealed he spent hours near his vacant plot close to Medchal before jumping in front of the moving train.
The search ended when police dug up a mound in his Kalpataru Residency plot and found children’s burnt bodies.
