Mumbai: Condemning the terrorist attack on tourists in the hill station of Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has asked the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre to ensure "appropriate punishment" for the people responsible for the attack.
“The heinous act of terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam of Jammu & Kashmir is highly condemnable and heart wrenching,” RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said.
“We pay homage to the deceased and pray for early recovery of the injured in this attack,” he said, expressing sorrow over the incident.
“This is an attack on the unity and integrity of our nation,” he said and urged all political parties and associations to rise above their differences and condemn this terror act.
“The government should ensure all required relief and assistance to the affected families and ensure appropriate punishment for the people responsible for this attack,” said Hosbale, the Sarkaryavah, the No 2 post in the RSS, which is the ideological fountainhead of the BJP.
