With thousands of crores of prime properties in the state capital and other parts of Uttar Pradesh at stake, the scion of the erstwhile ‘Raja’ of Mehmoodabad voiced his resentment over the amended Enemy Property Ordinance, which received the presidential assent recently.

“This actually tries to take away the rights of the Indian citizens,” Amir Mohammed Khan, the scion of the former princely estate said on Saturday.

Speaking to Deccan Herald over telephone, Khan said that it was a “serious thing”.  He declined to elaborate when queried about his future course of action and said that the matter was sub-judice.
