The pre-wedding reception was held at the Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam, owned by Rajinikanth, on Friday – the couple will tie the knot at a gala wedding ceremony on Monday morning at a five-star hotel in the city.
It was strictly a family affair at the pre-wedding reception of filmmaker and actor Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya and businessman-actor Vishagan Vanangamudi here on Friday afternoon.
The pre-wedding reception was held at the Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam, owned by Rajinikanth, on Friday – the couple will tie the knot at a gala wedding ceremony on Monday morning at a five-star hotel in the city. Pictures shared on social media by cinema publicist Diamond Babu showed Soundarya draped in a blue silk saree along with Vishagan, who was clad in traditional pattu veshti.
The Rajinikanth family had invited only close friends and relatives for the pre-wedding reception and all guests were presented with ‘neem seed ball’ as return gift. The wedding is to be held over the next two days culminating in Vishagan tying the knot with Soundarya, who was worked in few of her father’s films.
In the photos released, Rajinikanth, his wife Latha and their elder daughter Aishwarya, also the wife of popular Tamil actor Dhanush, were also seen alongside the to-be-wed couple. The wedding ceremony on Monday is expected to be graced by eminent personalities from all fields – Rajinikanth had personally handed over invitations to political leaders and his colleagues in the film industry like Kamal Haasan.
This is Vishagan and Soundarya’s second marriage as she was earlier married to industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar, he was married to Kanikha Kumaran. Soundarya and Ashwin divorced in 2017 and they have a son – Ved.
