A retired policeman and his wife were today beaten to death allegedly by two persons in Jaunpur district, police said here.
Purushottam Singh (67), a retired sub-inspector, and his wife Damyanti Singh (64) were beaten to death with sticks at their Pratap Colony residence this morning, police said.
Singh's son Ashwani Kumar has lodged an FIR against Anupam Singh and his brother Anurag Singh.
The couple were alone in their apartment at the time of incident, police said, adding that probe into the matter was on.
