Lucknow: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat strongly advocated for ‘Panch Parivartan’ (five changes) and the principle of ‘one well, one temple and one crematorium’ for social harmony and nation building.
Bhagwat, who was on a five-day visit to Aligarh, addressed ‘shakhas’ groups of RSS workers), at two places in the town, where he stressed on the need for working hard at different levels in the society.
‘’Social harmony can become a reality only when we follow the principle of one well, one temple and one crematorium....it will help remove differences, discrimination and help foster unity among all sections of the society,’’ he told the RSS workers.
‘’If we want to bring about drastic changes in the society then we will have to work on five changes (panch parivartan), which include family management, social harmony, environment preservation, self-awareness and civic duties,’’ Bhagwat added.
He said that the RSS had taken up these issues as a social campaign in the centenary year and had also chalked out strategies and plans on a large scale. The RSS chief said that the biggest asset of the Indian society was its ‘sanskar’ (values).
He said that the RSS planned to organise seminars at colleges, hold meetings of women and also organise programs like ‘Mata-Pita pujan’ (worshipping parents) in a bid to make the concept of the ideal Hindu family a reality.
Bhagwat also asked the RSS workers to visit every home and hold dialogues with people of all castes and sections and invite them to their homes.
