The RSS as asked the BJP leadership to change 16 out of the 26 sitting Lok Sabha members of Madhya Pradesh in the coming parliamentary election.

An RSS survey report has found these 16 MPs inactive and unpopular among not only the party workers but also the electorate in their respective constituencies. The report was submitted to the BJP last week, according to party sources.

Ahead of the joint meeting, the RSS and BJP have convened a coordination meeting specially to discuss probable candidates for the state in the last week of February or first week of March.

The RSS had recommended denial of ticket to nearly 100 out of 165 sitting BJP MLAs ahead of the Assembly election held in November last year in Madhya Pradesh. However, the BJP dropped only 56 sitting MLAs.
