The meeting between Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second son Prateek Yadav and his wife Aparna and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday set tongues wagging in political circles here.
A source said Prateek and Aparna drove to the VVIP guest house where Adityanath has been staying since he took oath as the chief minister on March 19, and spent nearly 30 minutes there.
The meeting, which was billed as a ‘courtesy call’, has fuelled speculations that the couple was veering towards the saffron party.
Aparna had contested the recent Assembly polls from the Lucknow Cantonment seat on an SP ticket, but lost to BJP’s Reeta Bahuguna Joshi.
