Dismissing Kolkata-based Gameplan's petition, a bench comprising Justice Markandey Katju and Justice T S Thakur refused to interfere with the order of the Jharkhand High Court, which had directed the firm's directors, Indrajit Banerjee, Jeet Banerjee and Malvilka Banerjee to face the proceedings at a Ranchi court.

"We find no merit in the special leave petition and it is dismissed accordingly," said the bench while dismissing their plea.

They have challenged the August 27 orders of the High Court declining to quash the FIR filed by Dhoni accusing them of cheating.

Dhoni on June 15, 2010, registered an FIR at the Doranda police station, Ranchi alleging that the event management company cheated him of approximately Rs 10.46 crore.
Dhoni and Gameplan had entered into an agreement according to which the company had to work as his manager-cum- agent to negotiate and sign contracts on his behalf with firms hiring him for advertisements and promotional campaigns between January 2005 to January 2008.

As per the agreement, Dhoni was to get 70 per cent of the amount, while Gameplan was to retain 30 per cent.

According to Dhoni, after the expiry of the agreement, Gameplan was permitted to work in his behalf for three endorsements -Bharat Petroleum, Titan industries and Lafarge cement.
However, the skipper said Gameplan after receiving the amount did not give him his share.
