Second Ajmer blast suspect arrested

The arrest of Chandreshekhar, suspected to be linked to a Hindu right-wing group, comes close on the heels of the Wednesday arrest of Devendra Gupta from Ajmer, about 390 km from New Delhi.

Ajmer’s additional chief judicial magistrate sentenced Chandreshekhar, an official of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Rajasthan Police said. The ATS arrested him at Shahjahanpur in Madhya Pradesh on Friday. Three people were killed and about 30 injured when a bomb exploded on October 11, 2007, on the premises of the Dargah of Sufi Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti which draws hundreds of thousands of people both from India and abroad.
