Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President Amit Shah will visit Chhattisgarh on September 5 to flag off the second phase of Vikas Yatra being taken out by Chief Minister Raman Singh.

The yatra will take off from Maa Bamleshwari temple, Dongargarh in Rajnandgaon district, State BJP chief Dharamlal Kaushik said here on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Congress taunted the ruling BJP for its sops to tribals like slippers for tendu pluckers, mobile phone and pressure cooker. What about the other promises as jersey cow yielding 10 litres milk, government job for a member of tribal family, right to water, forest produce, individual and community land title, it questioned the BJP leadership.
