The changes will be for six states -- Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar and Uttar Pradesh.

The enumeration period for Tamil Nadu and Gujarat has been extended till December 14 while the draft roll will be published on December 19. Similarly, it will be December 18 and December 23 respectively for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Andaman Nicobar and December 26 and December 31 for Uttar Pradesh.

The enumeration period for Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan and West Bengal ended on Thursday and the draft voter list will be published on December 16. The schedule of Kerala was revised earlier with the enumeration period ending on December 18 and draft roll to be published on December 23.

The initial schedule published by EC had said the enumeration phase will end on December 4 followed by draft roll on December 9 and final roll on February 7. It was then extended by a week.

On Wednesday, the EC also tweaked the schedule for West Bengal allowing extension of date for rationalisation of polling stations to February 2.
