Six kg of metallic objects removed from youth's stomach

Kamleshwar (25), a tribal from Korkoma village, from whose stomach the recovery was made, died today, surgeon Dr S M Yadav of Srushti Institute of Medical Research Centre said.

The youth had approached doctors complaining of stomach- ache, he said

During the surgery yesterday, doctors removed 421 coins, 196 nutbolts, 17 pins, and three keys from Kamleshwar's stomach, Dr Yadav told PTI.

Kamleshwar had told a local physician that he was in the habit of swallowing metal items for the last two years.

According to doctors, it was a case of psychological disorder in which a person eats non-consumable things like metal, stones, hair.
