"The appointments committee of the cabinet has approved K.C. Verma, secretary of RAW, cabinet secretariat, to superannuate Dec 30 and has approved the appointment of S.K.
Tripathi as secretary of RAW on a two-year tenure," said the statement by the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions.
Verma offered to quit almost a month ahead of his term which was to end Jan 31, 2011.
