Low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, on Wednesday announced another round of discounts for travellers from tier-two cities like Varanasi, Belgaum and eastern markets by pricing tickets for as low as Rs 1,899.

This is the eighth time the low-cost carrier has come up with a scheme this year — which industry watchers said was to attract travellers during the July-September period.

The three-day sale, which started on Wednesday, will end on May 2. For tier-two cities, the travel period is between June 10 and August 10. Fares from Belgaum to Bangalore and Chennai start at Rs 1,999, which is also the rate for travel from Ahmedabad to Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

Booking dates to avail discount are same as that of the tier-two cities, but the tickets start at Rs 1,899. The travel date is between July 1 and September 30.
