Rajasthan Tourism Minister Bina Kak announced on Tuesday that her department will be delighted to make it an annual feature. “It is great that World Sufi Music Festival has come to our city, spreading love through music. We would be delighted to make it an annual feature,” she said at the Sufi Music evening organised by her department in association with ICCR, Delhi on Tuesday. Music lovers of Jaipur had an initial taste of spirituality by enjoying talented Pakistani Sufi singer Sanam Marvi along with Rajasthani folk singer Samandar Singh at the event held in the beautiful ambience of Central Park under a star-studded sky. The Sufi mysticism reached its high with a simply spectacular performance by Egyptian troupe Tanmoura based on religious verses.

Conceived by Rumi Foundation with the mission of creating one world vision based on mutual respect of religions, regions and communities, the Sufi festival aims to spread love through creative art forms. Jahan-e-Khusrau is an annual event in Delhi since its inception in 2001. Now Pink city will take pride in hosting the event, Kak said.
