Family sources said that this may happen as a number of bodies in the crash have been charred beyond recognition and forensic experts are collecting DNA samples to establish their identities.
DNA samples of Ali’s father Mohammad Sharwar were collected last on Sunday evening at Mangalore where experts advised him and other members of the family to return as the tests might take a week, they said.
The family had appealed to Madhya Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to facilitate return of Ali’s remains.
