TNCC President K Selvaperunthagai alleged that Balaji has “vilified” Nehru, who served as India’s prime minister for 17 years after having fought for the country’s freedom, in a “derogatory manner.”

“Denigrating Pandit Nehru, who was admired by world leaders, cannot be allowed. I condemn the remarks he made in the garb of jokes against Nehru and request Chief Minister M K Stalin to act against him,” Selvaperunthagai said, demanding his arrest.

“Such slanderous speeches have not just hurt Congress members but have also caused them great distress,” he added.
