Criticising Tamil Nadu governor R N Ravi for staging a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Assembly without reading the customary address, the meeting accused him of disregarding the long-held traditions of the House and belittling Tamil Thai Vaazthu (State Anthem).

“Despite being the Constitutional Head of the State, he refuses to respect the traditions of the House, withholds bills passed by the Assembly and speaks high of Sanskrit and Hindi, while belittling the significance of the State Anthem,” the meeting said.

It wanted a Code of Conduct for governors and a timeframe for them to decide on bills and files sent by the state government.
