Chennai: After an intense seven-hour questioning on Monday, the CBI has asked Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and actor Vijay to appear again on January 19 in connection with the stampede at a rally in Karur on September 27 in which 41 people died.
Sources said Vijay has been asked to appear for the second round of questioning on January 19. “He was asked to come today (January 13) but Vijay asked for a fresh date due to Pongal festivities. So, we agreed and have now fixed a new date,” a CBI official said.
