He was taken into custody by Chennai Police on June 23 following an intense round of questioning about his alleged connection to Prasad, a former AIADMK functionary. The investigation, which initially began as a probe into a pub brawl in Chennai, eventually uncovered drug links.

Actor Srikanth is suspected of purchasing and using cocaine, as well as maintaining links with known drug suppliers. His blood samples were sent for medical testing, and preliminary reports have reportedly confirmed drug consumption. Meanwhile, Srikanth was sent to judicial custody until July 7 after hours of questioning related to the drug case.

Actor Krishna’s name surfaced following the arrest of actor Srikanth in the ongoing cocaine scandal gripping the Tamil film industry. Close sources claim that the actor had been “under stress” since his name began circulating online and went incommunicado for a while.

However, Krishna soon he surrendered himself in front of Chennai police and underwent an intense drilling by the official for over 18 hours. Actor Krishna, known for his work in Veera, Kalari, Maari 2 and Kazhugu 2, is reportedly undergoing interrogation at Nungambakkam Police Station, sources said.

Further intensifying the crackdown, Chennai police arrived at Krishna’s residence on Thursday morning and conducted a raid which reportedly lasted over two hours. So far, according to sources, the authorities have found nothing at his home or at the interrogation that would establish his guilt.

Parallelly, a report suggests that two well-known actresses are also under police investigation, suggesting that the scandal may involve more prominent names from the industry, further intensifying their crackdown on the alleged drug nexus in the film industry.
