On December 14, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin was sworn in as a Minister of Sports.
Udhayanidhi, an actor and filmmaker, was a prominent campaigner for the DMK during the election. He won people over with his campaign approach, such as posing with a block to blame the BJP for the 'delay' in the construction of the AIIMS in Madurai.
The move, however, did not go well with the opposition, which accused the DMK of nepotism.
