The new GCC, operational with 750 employees and aiming to triple its workforce to 2,250 by 2027, will drive cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Strategically designed to serve over 1,000 companies across the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Australia, the center underscores Hyderabad’s unmatched blend of talent, infrastructure, and policy support.

DarkMatter Technologies, part of the Perseus Group under Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU), specializes in vertical market software for the mortgage industry. Constellation Software, a global acquirer of mission-critical software firms, operates in over 100 markets worldwide.

“Hyderabad is no longer just the City of Pearls or a pharma hub—it is now India’s answer to Silicon Valley in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance) sector. With five of the world’s top BFSI GCCs, including Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and now DarkMatter, we are scripting a new narrative of tech-led growth,” said IT minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu.

The state’s BFSI Consortium and Young India Skills University are skilling 1 lakh professionals yearly, ensuring a pipeline of talent for giants like DarkMatter. “With 5 lakh skilled BFSI professionals and counting, Hyderabad offers the perfect storm of innovation and expertise,” Sridhar Babu added.

“Hyderabad’s tech ecosystem is unparalleled. This GCC isn’t just an investment—it’s a commitment to co-creating the future of AI-powered vertical software. The center will focus on mortgage tech innovation, leveraging AI to streamline loan origination processes for global clients,” said Perseus Group, President, Scott Smith.

DarkMatter’s GCC will spearhead R&D in AI-driven loan origination systems, backed by Constellation Software’s vast portfolio of 1,000+ vertical market software firms. The company also plans aggressive acquisitions of Indian tech firms to deepen its market reach.

The Telangana government announced plans to expand high-speed data networks, establish AI parks, and host the Hyderabad AI Summit to attract global investors. “Our goal is simple: Make Hyderabad the most value-driven tech destination on Earth,” Shri Sridhar Babu stated.
