Hyderabad: Reports suggesting that Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy named in the chargesheet filed by ED in the National Herald alleged money laundering case had generated significant political heat in Telangana.

ED in its chargesheet reportedly alleged that Revanth, while serving as the state PCC chief, solicited funds for Young Indian Pvt Ltd in return for promises of political influence and positions.

Reacting sharply to the revelations, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the Chief Minister, accusing him of turning Telangana into an “ATM for the Congress Party.”

KTR said that central agencies have now confirmed what BRS has been warning for months that Telangana’s governance is compromised by corruption and commission deals.

ED is understood to have named though not as an accused Revanth Reddy and few other Congress leaders on whose instructions a number of people made donations to YI between 2019-2022.

“The ED has officially exposed Telangana’s bagman. Revanth Reddy has been caught influencing donors with political promises. He built a corrupt empire even before taking office. Since becoming CM, he has expanded it into a multi-thousand crore scam,” said KTR.

The BRS leader alleged that Revanth is resorting to daily “attention diversion dramas” to escape accountability. “Every press meet, every outburst is a smokescreen to distract the people of Telangana from the real issue of a Chief Minister named in a money laundering chargesheet,” he said.

KTR questioned the BJP-led Union Government’s silence on the matter. “Will the Centre act now that Revanth’s name is in the chargesheet, or will they continue to protect him like in previous scams? The Amrit scam, RR Tax scam, Civil Supplies scam are they all going to be brushed under the carpet?,” he asked.

The ED’s chargesheet, filed before a Delhi court, has raised serious questions about internal Congress functioning. According to reports, Revanth Reddy allegedly lured donors into giving money to Young Indian by offering party posts and political favours. This has exposed what BRS calls the “donation-for-nomination” racket under Revanth’s leadership, he said.

KTR also raised doubts over Revanth’s political integrity. “Will he now kneel before BJP leaders in secret to escape investigation, just like other turncoats have done?” he asked.

With rising dissent, rebellion, and institutional breakdowns, the Congress government is reportedly facing turmoil from within. “The CM’s chair is shaking. The fear of collapse haunts Revanth every day,” said KTR, warning that the people of Telangana would not remain silent spectators.
