Someone playing cricket was searching for their lost ball, only to shockingly come across a human skeleton. This is not a story from a fiction novel, but a recent incident from Hyderabad.
A man who walked into a house in Nampally, which was abandoned for seven years, he discovered a skeleton lying face down on the kitchen floor. He shot the incident on camera and posted the clip on Facebook.
While it started as a search for a cricket ball, what the man actually found left locals stunned.
The man revealed that he not only saw the skeleton there but also a few utensils scattered around. The visuals of the chilling scene were caught on camera, following which the incident was reported to the local police station.
A special team arrived at the crime spot to collect evidences and investigate the matter.
The cops also found an old Nokia phone with 84 missed calls, dating back to 2015, along with a demonetised currency note near the remains.
A case of unnatural death was registered, reported news agency PTI.
The police have begun a forensic investigation and collected available evidences from the house. The case is being handled by ACP Kishan Kumar from Asif Nagar.
Preliminary findings suggest the body belongs to someone named Ameer Khan, who was above 50 years and allegedly mentally unstable.
"The man has been dead for a few years now, even the bones were crumbling. We found no signs of struggle or blood marks... We are now trying to talk to relatives to find out more," an NDTV report quoted the police officer.
