Hyderabad: The Disciplinary Action Committee of TPCC has issued a show cause notice to party MLC Chintapandu Naveen who is popularly known as Teenmaar Mallanna. He was seen a few days ago burning the socio-economic caste survey report calling it as bogus. He had also drawn the ire of Reddy community for his some objectionable remarks.
“Disciplinary Action Committee of TPCC has received many representations, complaints and memoranda from the party cadre as well as from the OBC associations for burning the caste census report which hurt the sentiments of the BCs in Telangana State. You have also rushed to the press and used the filthy verbal language against the caste census which is the brainchild of our beloved leader Shri Rahul Gandhi ji, LoP - Lok Sabha & former President, All India Congress Committee and party is treating your utterances against the party leadership's decision,” said the show cause notice issued by TPCC disciplinary committee chairman, G Chinna Reddy.
The notice also stated that 'everyone' knew that Telangana state was the first to complete a caste census within fifty days and create history. The census has proved that more than 56 per cent of population belongs to Backward Classes, including 10 per cent from Muslim minorities. The caste census report was tabled by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the floor of the House on Feb 4 after a thorough discussion in the state cabinet.
The long pending demand of categorisation of SCs also took place on the floor of the House, yesterday itself.
Everyone in the state has appreciated the stupendous task completed by the Telangana State Government towards completing the caste census within fifty days and the further categorization of SCs into three groups.
“You are trying to fulfil your personal agenda keeping aside the party's interest. Congress party belongs to every individual irrespective of caste, religion and region. Being a Member of Telangana Legislative Council, you have violated the norms, guidelines and procedure of the Indian National Congress party's constitution in broad daylight," the show cause notice said, rebuking the MLC.
"Mightily, you have forgotten that the party has given you "B" form and helped you to get elected as MLC from the Graduate constituency of Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda. Hence, you are hereby directed/instructed to submit your explanation within a week i.e., 12-2-205 from the date of this show cause notice issued failing which it will be construed that you have no explanation to offer and stern/serious action will be initiated against you as per the procedures of the constitution of the Indian National Congress party. For ratification, we are transmitting the same to the AICC for necessary action. Your explanation has to be reached on or before February 12, 2025, failing which strong action will be initiated as per the norms of Congress party constitution,” the notice concluded.
