Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that in the next 10 years, Telangana would be developed into a $1 trillion economy and by 2047, it would transform into a $3 trillion economy.

Talking at the Telangana formation day celebrations on Monday, Revanth Reddy said Telangana’s contribution to national GDP would be increased to 10 per cent by 2047 from the current 5 per cent.

“India is bracing for the centenary celebrations of country's Independence in 2047. The State Government is working in a mission mode to play the Telangana State a pivotal role in developing India a $30 trillion economy."

"As part of it, Telangana Raising -2047 action plan is already prepared and decided to promote the state as $1 trillion economy in next 10 years and $3 trillion economy by 2047. Telangana Raising is regarded as the main instrument to achieve robust growth. The government envisaged plans to develop Telangana number one developed state in the country as well as in the entire world," Reddy said.

"I strongly hope that everyone will support the People's Government in delivering transparent administration and comprehensive development of the state."

He added that his government is moving fast to promote the youngest state of Telangana as the best destination for global investments.

“We have achieved a remarkable milestone in attracting investments from global giant companies during Davos, Singapore and Japan visits. The state government inked the agreements with the companies for more than Rs 3 lakhs crore investments. IT giants like Google , Microsoft, Cognizant and HCL are already expanding their operations in Hyderabad. This could be the first stepping stone under the 'Telangana Raising'."

"Plans are under pipeline to develop the city of Hyderabad on par with other developed Metro cities in the world and compete with them. The Musi rejuvenation project has already been launched to revive the historical Musi river and construct Bapu Ghat at the international standards. The government envisaged plans to develop Future City in 30,000 acres with state of the art facilities. AI City, Pharma city, Sports City, Life Sciences and Health City are also being developed. Future City Development Authority was already constituted to take up such big projects,” he said.

CM Reddy also said that measures have been taken to increase the number of airports in Telangana. All required permissions were given to the revival of Mamunuru airport. Aiming for the development of Hyderabad City, the government took up the construction of Regional Ring Road at the cost of Rs 18,000 crores and works are already started.

A radial road network will be developed to connect the ORR and RRR. Metro Rail expansion and Regional Rail projects are under active consideration. The Metro Rail second phase project costing Rs 24,000 crore is being taken up to meet the growing needs for public transportation in the future.

He recalled that Telangana also hosted the Miss World competition in a prestigious manner. With a slogan of "Telangana Zaroor Aana", Hyderabad hosted the 72nd Miss World Pageant and delegates from more than 100 countries participated. The delegates visited the historical heritage sites in Telangana and spread the glory of Telangana across the world, he opined.
