The ministry of external affairs (MEA) in its weekly briefing reiterated BCCI's stand on Indian cricket team visiting Pakistan for next year's Champions Trophy.
"... The BCCI has issued a statement... They have said that there are security concerns there and therefore it is unlikely that the team will be going there...," said MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.
The much-anticipated Champions Trophy 2025, set to be hosted by Pakistan, is shrouded in uncertainty as the ICC Board convenes on November 29 for a critical virtual meeting to decide its fate.
