D V Sadananda Gowda to handle Chemicals

Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was on Tuesday given additional charge of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, while Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will handle Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers as well.

The two ministries were handled by the late H N Ananth Kumar, who died on Monday.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said President Ram Nath Kovind's direction in this regard came on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Gowda is already handling the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
