Lucknow: A six-year-old boy ran a distance of thousand kilometre from his home for having 'darshan' of the Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on the first anniversary of Ram Lalla's consecration on Saturday.

The boy, Mohabbat ran from Abohar in Punjab to Ayodhya, covering a distance of more than a thousand kilometre, and reached Ayodhya on Saturday. He was felicitated by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust secretary Champat Rai said that the boy had started his run on November 14 last year. ''He used to run around 19-20 kilometres every day,'' he said.

Adityanath felicitated the boy with an 'angavastram' and chocolate.
