Maharajganj: A court here has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his relative over a land dispute in 2016, officials said on Sunday.
District and Sessions Judge Niraj Kumar on Saturday also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict Ashok (42),District Prosecuting Officer Brijendra Nath Tripathi said.
Ram Prasad Chaudhary(60) was murdered on December 12, 2016.
During the trial, the prosecution presented nine witnesses to support their case.
