Lucknow: In a bizarre display of craze for making reels, a man allegedly loaded the roof of his Thar SUV with dry mud and then drove the vehicle at high speed on a major highway in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. The dry mud flew in the air causing problems for the others on the highway.
A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms on Friday.
The video purportedly showed a man digging the soil at a brick kiln with a shovel and then loading the same on the roof of a black coloured SUV.
Another video purportedly showed the same Thar SUV being driven at high speed on the highway leaving behind a trail of dust caused by the flying mud.
Another vehicle is also seen in the video which follows the SUV with ‘Thakur’ written on its rear windscreen, apparently for making the reels.
As the video went viral triggering reactions from the netizens, the Meerut police took cognizance of the same and said that they were probing the matter.
‘’We are trying to trace the driver of the SUV with the help of its registration number….it’s a serious thing as it could have caused accidents on the highway,’’ said a police official in Meerut on Friday.
The official said that the driving license of the owner of the SUV would be cancelled besides acting against him under the law.
