Lucknow: The students of the madrasas (Islamic seminaries) in Uttarakhand would be studying Operation Sindoor, during which India launched precision strikes at the terror camps in Pakistan following the killing of 26 tourists at Pahalgam by Pak supported terrorists.
‘’Operation Sindoor will be made part of the syllabus taught at the madrasas in Uttarakhand,’’ according to the officials in Uttarakhand.
‘’It will help the students studying at the madrasas in the state to know about the bravery and sacrifices of our soldiers,’’ said an official in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand.
‘’Uttarakhand, which is called Devbhoomi (land of the gods), is also the land of soldiers and so it is our duty to tell our students about our brave soldiers,’’ the official added.
An official of the Uttarakhand Waqf Board referring to Col Sofiya Qureshi said that she would be an inspiration to the girls studying in the madrasas.
According to the official sources there were 451 registered madrasas in Uttarakhand in which more than 50 thousand students studied.
Recently, the Rajasthan government also decided to include Operation Sindoor in the school and college curriculum in the state.
India launched precision strikes at the terror camps inside Pakistan on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam killing and demolished several terror hubs. After four days, Pakistan urged India for a ceasefire and the latter agreed to the same.
