Three days ahead of its much publicised 'dharm sabha' (religious meeting) in Ayodhya, which it claims, will be attended by over one lakh 'Rambhakts' (disciples of Lord Rama), the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Thursday threatened that there could be serious consequences if the seers were ignored and Ram Temple was not built.

The saffron outfit also took a dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi and others, who were ''opposed'' to Ram Temple, and said that the 'dharm sabha' was the ''last message'' for them as well.

''This will be the last dharm sabha for a grand Ram Temple...after this the construction of Ram Temple will start,'' senior VHP leader Bholendra said on Thursday.

Striking a threatening tone, the VHP leader likened the Sunday's 'dharm sabha' to the last ditch attempt by Lord Rama to prevent a war with the demon king Ravana by sending 'Angad' (the monkey, who was a member of Lord Rama's army) as an emissary to the court of Ravana to persuade him to send Sita back to her husband.

''The dharm sabha is also a message for those, who wear janeu (a sacred thread worn by the Hindus) and go on pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar (read Rahul Gandhi) but oppose the Ram Temple,'' Bholendra said.

The VHP leader claimed that a large number of Hindus would be reaching Ayodhya to attend the 'dharm sabha' on Sunday. Saints and seers from across the country would also be there.
