Waves OTT, Prasar Bharati’s rapidly growing digital entertainment platform, has entered into a major partnership with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) to bring its diverse content library to the RailOne app.
RailOne is Indian Railways’ official all-in-one passenger services platform, offering ticketing, live train updates, journey services and digital utilities through a seamless, integrated interface used by millions every day.
This collaboration will enable railway passengers to access a curated selection of Waves OTT content on the go. With nearly 2.3 crore passengers travelling daily, the RailOne integration effortlessly expands the national reach of Waves OTT.
People travelling on the train will now be able to enjoy a range of WAVES offerings, including Live TV channels, Akashvani radio stations, movies, short films, documentaries, devotional programming and archival content across more than 15 Indian languages.
A joint nationwide promotional campaign is also planned to highlight the partnership, to enrich the journey experience of passengers through engaging infotainment services.
Speaking on the collaboration, Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO, Prasar Bharati, said, “This integration with RailOne is a significant milestone for WAVES OTT. RailOne connects millions of passengers daily, and bringing WAVES content to this platform will greatly enhance their digital experience during travel.”
The partnership reinforces Prasar Bharati’s commitment to accessible, high-quality public-service content and strengthens Waves OTT’s position as a truly national OTT platform serving audiences anytime, anywhere, now including India’s vast rail-travelling public.
