Bengaluru: A woman was fatally knocked down by a speeding car on the Outer Ring Road in the western part of the city in the early hours of Tuesday.

The police said the victim could be aged around 65 years, but are yet to confirm this as she did not have any documentation on her.

She had a bag with dog food and waste, leading the police to believe that she was most likely a dog breeder. 

The incident occurred around 1:30 am opposite the Dr Babu Jagjivanram Bhavan on the Outer Ring Road as she was walking towards the Sumanahalli flyover.

According to the complaint filed with the Kamakshipalya traffic police, a red car was speeding from the Laggere side towards Sumanahalli when the driver crashed into her, causing severe injuries to her face and head. The police are yet to trace the vehicle.
