Prime Minister Narendra Modi's podcast debut with Zerodha founder Nikhil Kamath made headlines for various reasons, one among them being his response to a question about Giorgia Meloni.

While Kamath did not bring up Meloni's name directly in the interview, he asked: "...My favourite food is pizza, which originates from Italy. People often say that you know a lot about Italy. Would you like to share something about it? Haven't you seen those memes?"

Modi brushed it aside saying such things keep happening and he does not waste time on that.

"Nahi, woh toh chalta rehta hai (no, such things keep happening)," Modi said with a smile. "Main usmein apna time kharab nahi karta (I don't waste my time in that)," he added.

The prime minister, who chose not to give any direct answers related to Meloni, took the question literally and shared his opinion on food saying that he is not much of a foodie.

Modi said he was not a foodie and eats whatever is served to him abroad. "If someone gives me a menu, I won't be able to decide what to eat."

The prime minister revealed he would seek Arun Jaitley's help to order food at restaurants with the only condition being that it should be vegetarian.

Answering another question on whether the PM experiences anxiety or not, Modi said that he has to detach himself from emotions, given the position he is in.

"I am in a position in which I have to detach myself from emotions, and the natural tendencies human beings have... I have to rise above it," he said.
