A teacher and a scheduled caste activist Bindu Thankam Kalyani, who tried to enter Sabarimala Ayyappa temple in last October, was allegedly abused by BJP-RSS workers while she was on election duty.

In a social media post, Bindu said that while she was on election duty at a college at Palakkad, some BJP-RSS activists who identified her abused her. She added that she reported the matter to the assistant returning officer as well as the police.

Two other women, Bindu Ammini and Kanakadurga, who entered the temple, were still under police protection.
