Raising apprehension on a possible threat to YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy’s life, the party on Thursday questioned CBI Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana’s ties with certain mediapersons, to whom he allegedly made scores of calls recently.

The party also cited irregularities in services provided to Jagan in the Chanchalguda jail, to buttress claims of a conspiracy against the YSRC chief. Releasing a list of calls made from two numbers belonging to the CBI official, YSRC spokesman Jupudi Prabhakar said  Narayana allegedly made 382 calls to a TV9 reporter, 142 calls to a NTV reporter and 153 calls to a ABN Andhra Jyothi reporter.

“The Joint Director has made umpteen number of  calls to the Andhra Jyothi Managing Director and one lady Vasireddy Chandrabala (328 calls) and spoke for hours. The very next day there were headline news in the yellow media,” Jupudi said, seeking action against Narayana.
