The first train from both terminal stations (RV Road and Bommasandra) will depart at 6.30 am Monday to Saturday and at 7 am on Sundays.

All 16 stations on this metro corridor will be operational, with trains running every 25 minutes from Bommasandra after 6.30 am and from RV Road after 7.10 am.

Frequency will reduce after 10 pm based on demand, the BMRCL added.

The last train from the Bommasandra metro station will be at 10.42 pm and from RV Road at 11.55 pm.

Frequency will improve to 20 minutes once the fourth trainset is inducted in September. Peak-hour frequency will improve to 10 minutes or less early next year.

Travelling on the 19.15-km corridor will take 35 minutes and cost Rs 60.

Starting August 11, commuters can download the Namma Metro app on Apple Store and use it to purchase QR tickets and recharge the BMRCL smartcards.

The Bengaluru Metro network has now expanded to 96.1 km, the longest after Delhi.
