Bengaluru: A college student riding pillion with her brother died after a Canter ran her over in Koramangala, Southeast Bengaluru, on Sunday, the police said.
Jain Shakeena (23), a resident of Koramangala, was travelling on a two-wheeler with her brother when it collided with the Canter.
The woman fell to the right side, and was run over by the Canter. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The brother suffered minor injuries and has been admitted to the hospital.
The Adugodi traffic police visited the scene and conducted an inspection. They have impounded the Canter and taken its driver into custody.
