Bengaluru: The completion of the 2.38-km-long Ejipura flyover — which was promised to be ready by December this year — has been pushed to March 2026.
After inspecting the casting yard on Bannerghatta Road, where segments are prepared, BBMP’s Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao directed engineers to take all necessary measures and ensure completion of the project by March 2026.
Of the total 762 precast segments required for the project, 437 have already been installed. The remaining 325 segments are yet to be cast. The Chief Commissioner instructed that 45 segments be prepared and installed each month to maintain project momentum.
Two land parcels near St John’s Hospital and St John’s Hostel are required for the project. He directed officials to commence ramp construction at these locations at the earliest.
Chief Engineer Dr Raghavendra Prasad informed the commissioner that all technical designs and plans for the Ejipura flyover have been finalised, and a detailed execution strategy has been developed to ensure timely completion.
