Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said, "We are repaying the people through five guarantees and development works, for strengthening our hand, by blessing us."
"Our party is like a temple. It is guaranteeing peace and prosperity to the people of the State, which people pray for. See our good work and bless us in 2028 too and give an opportunity to serve again," he said.
He was speaking during the 'Saadhana Samavesha' where 74 developmental works of 24 departments worth a total of Rs 2,578.03 crore were launched in Mysuru city, on Saturday.
He added, "Comments die, works remain. We need critics to be cautious. Guarantee schemes have become a model for the entire country. Even though our guarantee schemes were criticised, they are implemented in Bihar, MP, Haryana and other parts to attract the voters.
"With the strength given to our hands, we have been able to shut the mouths of opposition leaders through our good work. You strengthened us again with a clear message of your support in by election too. God is also with us. We are receiving good rains, and our KRS has dam is filled in June itself. All our leaders are doing well. Bless us again to serve more," D K Shivakumar said.
Mysuru district in-charge minister H C Mahadevappa reiterated "this convention is not to prove any one's strength or to support any one or to blackmail any one or any answer challenges or comments made for political reasons by those who have not allotted such huge funds for the development work.
"This convention is only restricted to tell people about developmental works taken up for over all development of the State; for the fulfillment of objectives of Indian Constitution, towards economic empowerment of people all strata to build equal society. It is to convey about fulfilling promises we made before election to give dignified life to people. If they have done good work let them show, we will appreciate them."
Minister K Venkatesh said, "this programme is done in all the districts to tell development works taken up by Government apart from implementation of guarantee schemes. We will tell about works taken up to reduce the problems of people, to extend all support to resolve their problems in phases, because opposition leaders have been making false allegations and telling lies without recognising our works. They are criticising with malified intension to come to power but not to resolve the problems of people. People should not heed to mispropaganda," he said.
