Mysuru: Reels of the Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) dam in Karnataka's Mandya district, purportedly filmed by a man working there, have gone viral on social media, resulting in authorities terminating his services.
Reels posted by the man, said to be a Congress worker, drew flak from netizens, and also raised questions about potential security breaches at KRS, resulting in his termination from his job.
Consequently, Madhu, a daily wager, son of Shankar of KRS village, has been suspended by Cauvery Neeravari Nigam officials, for creating reels.
The Nigam officials who came to know about the reel going viral acted swiftly and removed him from the job.
The entry of the public is strictly prohibited into the dam—except for engineers and the staff of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam, no one else is allowed entry.
The KRS dam has filled to it's maximum level and crest gates have been opened and more than 20,000 cusec water is being released from the dam into the river.
