Thiruvananthapuram: A barely two-month-old child died in Kerala on Sunday after allegedly being administered anesthesia for a circumcision procedure.
The incident took place at Kakkoor on the suburbs of Kozhikode. The Kakkoor police has registered a case of unnatural death.
According to the FIR, the child suffered discomfort after being given anesthesia as part of circumcision on Sunday. The child died by 12.10 pm despite being rushed to a private hospital in Kozhikode.
The Kakkoor station house officer said that a post-mortem examination of the body would be performed on Monday. Further investigation in the case is under way.
