Monsoon hair care tips.

Tend to the frizz when your mane balloons uncomfortably during the rainy season, or looks sad and lacklustre with the increasing humidity. Make way for skilful haircare during the monsoon.
Scalp tonic
Make use of scalp serums to jog the follicles to gorgeous health. Warm the hair oil alternatively for a minute and work into your scalp to nourish and pamper your locks. Skip applying the oil along the length of your hair.
Keep in mind: Avoid applying hair oil overnight. You can work in the goodness 30 minutes before taking a head bath.
Skip the leave-in
Avoid using dense conditioners and heavy shampoos that weigh down on your hair and leave it looking droopy. A lightweight application leaves your locks well-moisturised, preventing it from becoming dry and brittle. This guards against hair breakage too.
Keep in mind: Avoid using hair masks, especially those powered with avocado or shea butter, as these will make your hair clump up during the rains.
Wash the grime away
Keep your scalp clean of grime and dust. Cover hair when out in the sun or rain. Wash your mane with a mild cleanser twice a week to get rid of scalp build-up that might lead to itchiness or dandruff. It is a good idea to have a dry shampoo handy to serve as a quick fix when you are hard-pressed for time to shampoo your tresses.
Keep in mind: Streamline the use of hair tongs, irons and curlers. The more heat you apply to your tresses, the more they will crackle in dryness and build up on the frizz. Allow your hair to dry naturally.
Skip running brushes through your hair when wet. Make use of a wood wide-toothed comb (that you clean before use) to remove the knots in slightly damp hair.
Soak it up
Choose your products carefully for monsoon haircare to skip the annoying frizz and puffiness. Look for ingredients including hydrolysed keratin to power your tresses.
A volumising shampoo works up the movement in your hair, leaving it glossy and shiny with an unbeatable bounce.
