Popular Chinese smartphone-maker OnePlus earlier in the month confirmed to launch the new premium OnePlus 9, 9 Pro phone series along with the company's first-ever smartwatch OnePlus Watch on March 23.

With less than a few days left before the D-Day, CEO Pete Lau in an exclusive interview with News18 has revealed that the company will unveil a special OnePlus 9R, an exclusive third variant for India next week.

Lau did not reveal any key features as such but assured prospective customers that the OnePlus 9R will be the most affordable model and yet offer most of the premium features of the top-end model. We believe, the 9R variant is unlikely to boast super-fast 50W Warp charging capability nor come with a Hasselblad camera system.

Word on the street is OnePlus 9R is said to come with a 6.5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 CPU, 8GB RAM, a 64MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are confirmed to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor and support 65W wired fast charging. This means the devices will be able to fully charge up from zero to 100% in around 30 minutes. Also, the company said, they will also support 50W wireless charging and this means the devices can charge up in around 43 minutes. This is faster than some of the most expensive premium phones can do with wired charging. Yes, OnePlus did mock Apple and you can see it in the video below.

OnePlus 9 Pro is said to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, quad-camera Hasselblad module (with 50MP + 48MP+8MP 2MP) on the back, 16MP front snapper, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W charger.

The standard OnePlus 9 is said to come with a 6.55-inch screen, triple-camera Hasselblad module- 48MP + 48MP + 8MP on the back, 16MP front snapper, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging tech.

OnePlus Watch is said to feature a circular dial with an AMOLED display, IP68 rating, and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear chipset, most probably 4000 series. It will run the company's proprietary Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). It will be able to seamlessly control OnePlus smart TVs and other accessories.

Also, it will come with biometric sensors including a 24/7 heart rate monitor and SpO2 (Blood-Oxygen saturation level), sleep pattern tracker, and more. It also said to offer a long battery life of several days.
