Abhiram is currently an assistant secretary, and his appointment as selection panel head will have to be ratified by the KSCA Managing Committee, a process which is no more than a formality.
The other three members of the selection panel are Sujith Somasundar and PR Ashok-anand, and former stumper Avinash Vaidya.
