Karnataka camp faced a minor worry as their batting coach J Arun Kumar was admitted to a private hospital here on Thursday night following a stomach problem.
“He had complained of stomach ache on Thursday night. The doctors have diagnosed it to be a gastric problem. He is likely to be discharged by tomorrow,” team manager B Siddaramu told on Friday.
Depending upon his condition, a call will be taken as to whether to continue the treatment here or in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile Nischal D and Prasidh M Krishna, who travelled to Jaipur as part of Karnataka's 15-member Ranji Trophy squad against Rajasthan, flew back on Friday morning to participate in the CK Nayudu Trophy tournament where Karnataka’s under-23 team is to play Gujarat under-23 side at the KSCA stadium, Hubli on Saturday.
The duo will be replaced by SL Akshay and Pavan Deshpande who reached here on Friday night.
