Electing to bat first, FAPS, despite Shreyas Gopal’s breezy unbeaten 69 (61b, 12x4), limped to 89 for six in 20 overs.
Apart from Shreyas, none of the other batsmen got going and the paltry total was hardly going to test the Cotton boys. Opener Sanchit remained unbeaten with 54 as Cottons replied with 90 for one in 16.1 overs.
Presidency raced to a seven-wicket victory to emerge champions in the Juniors’ section. After restricting Bethany High School to 85 all out in 17.2 overs with Sijuyan and Sharan picking up three wickets each, Presidency reached 88 for three in 14.5 overs. Satish top-scored with an unbeaten 41.
